Tipsy Circle is a social nightlife application operated by Blackridge Ventures LLC ("we," "us," "Tipsy Circle"), a limited liability company registered in Idaho, United States. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Tipsy Circle is intended only for individuals aged 21 and older.
When you create an account, we collect your phone number, display name, date of birth (to verify you are 21+), and optionally a profile photo. If you connect through Apple or Google sign-in, we receive a basic identifier from that provider.
We access your device location only while you are actively checked in at a venue, or in the moment you choose to check in. We use it to confirm which venue you are at, power live crowd features, and automatically check you out when you leave. We do not collect background location when you are not checked in. You can disable location sharing entirely and still use the app through manual check-in.
We collect the check-ins you make, vibe votes you cast, challenges you complete, messages you post in venue chats, friends you connect with, and similar in-app activity, in order to provide the service.
We collect basic technical information such as device type, app version, and anonymized usage analytics to keep the app working and improve it. We do not use advertising trackers.
We use your information to operate core features (check-ins, the live "Pulse," friends, challenges, recaps), verify your age and identity, keep the community safe through moderation, process venue subscription payments (for venue accounts), send notifications you've enabled, and improve the app. We do not use your information to serve advertising.
Businesses that claim a venue on Tipsy Circle receive aggregate, anonymous information only: how many people are checked in, vibe trends, and busy-hour patterns. Venues cannot see your name, profile, photo, or check-in history. The only exception is content you choose to post publicly in a venue's chat, which is visible to others checked in at that venue.
You control your visibility at all times. Ghost mode makes you invisible to friends, venue "who's here" lists, leaderboards, and activity feeds, while you continue to use the app normally. You may also disable live location, hide yourself from leaderboards, and manage notification types — all from your profile settings.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. Our business model is venue subscriptions, not the monetization of personal data.
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the app (such as cloud hosting, SMS delivery, and payment processing), and only to the extent necessary. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users. We never share your information for marketing purposes.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. When you do, your check-ins, recaps, badges, photos, and other personal data are permanently deleted within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain limited records.
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and secure authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.
Tipsy Circle is strictly for users aged 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by other means before they take effect.
