Be the person you'd want to run into on a night out. Tipsy Circle exists to make nights better and to help real people connect. These rules keep it that way — and we enforce them.
The Rules
No harassment. Unwanted contact, following someone around, creepy behavior, or targeting any individual is not allowed. A single report can be enough for us to act.
No hate. We have zero tolerance for slurs, discrimination, or hostility toward any group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic. This results in a permanent ban.
Respect privacy. Do not share anyone's location, photos, or identity without their consent. Ghost mode and every privacy choice are to be respected absolutely.
Keep chats about the venue. Venue chats are for the people in the room. No spam, no promotional carpet-bombing, no relentless pickup lines.
No illegal activity. Do not use Tipsy Circle to facilitate anything illegal, including the sale of drugs or service to minors.
Be real. No impersonation, fake accounts, or pretending to be somewhere you're not.
Look out for each other. If someone has had too much, help them get home safely — the ride option is built right in.
How Enforcement Works
We use automated systems to catch the most serious violations instantly, and every report is reviewed. Our enforcement follows a clear ladder for standard violations:
Strike one: a formal warning.
Strike two: a temporary suspension of chat and social features.
Strike three: a permanent ban.
Severe violations — threats, hate speech, predatory behavior, or anything involving a minor — result in an immediate permanent ban with no warning, and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Reporting
If you see something that breaks these rules, report it. Every report is reviewed, typically within 24 hours. You can report any message directly in the app. Reporting is confidential. Filing false reports in bad faith is itself a violation.
Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was a mistake, you can appeal by emailing support@tipsycircle.app. We'll review it fairly.
